Gordon Research Conference on Animal Microbe Symbioses

The 2023 Animal-Microbe Symbioses Gordon Research Conference brought together 200 researchers from around the world. The conference, which took place Jun 18 to Jun 23 2023 in Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco in Lucca, Italy, was organized and chaired by Thomas Bosch as Chair and Martin Kaltenpoth as Vice Chair. At the immediately preceding Gordon Research Seminar with 60 early career scientists, Nancy Obeng took over the chair together with Alessandro Manzano Marin. The meeting of host-microbiome researchers of very different expertise and also career stages was a great success, which will be continued in two years at a venue in the USA.
