Interview: Lucía Pita Galán – Sponge-Microbe Interactions
In our host-microbe interview series we now focus on international junior researchers. In the next issue of this series, CRC 1182-speaker Thomas Bosch talks to Dr. Lucía Pita Galán. As an alumna of the CRC 1182 she’s now at the Marine Biogeochemistry, Atmosphere and Climate Group of the Institut de Ciències del Mar in Barcelona. Lucía idendendently researches the molecular mechanisms of animal-microbe-environment interactions, with particular attention to animal immunity, using sponges as a model organism.
