In this special contribution to our host-microbe interview series, CRC 1182-speaker Thomas Bosch talks to Prof. Margaret McFall-Ngai, University of Hawaii, Manoa, our first interview partner in 2016 when the CRC1182 at Kiel University started.
Four years later, now in the second funding phase of the center, McFall-Ngai and Bosch resume this conversation from today’s point of view: They talk about the progress that has since been made, current research and the perspectives for the host-microbe field in the future. The Interview was recorded on 26. October 2020 during the 2020 virtual CRC 1182 retreat.
